Discover BADAT
BADAT is a traditional dance troop in the Northwest region of Cameroon. It was created in November 2014 By Fokumlah Magloire Babila ( MAG BILA) acting coach and founder.
The group was formed by Mag Bila due to the love of the dance arts during his University days in YDE 1 and INJS. He thought it wise to regroup young people in Bda who have this same passion especially promoting Cameroonian cultural under an umbrella association. luckily the idea was welcomed by many. All thanks goes to the then director of paco Vita for accepting and granting and providing a training ground.
The group has with aim to detect dance talents, train and promote Cameroonian cultural dances in general but with more emphasis on NorthWest dances at all levels.
BADAT also dances most popular Cameroonian dances as of now but we are into research works to cover dances of the 250 ethnic groups of Cameroon .
Badat dances and offer animation service in occasions like,Cultural festivals, marriages,workshops,seminars,visits,graduation ceremonies,concerts ,music video shoots,baby showers,birthdays and sometimes funerals.The group is open to everybody who wants to learn about our cultural dances n seeks to promote it.
So far BADAT has with achievements: participated in the national festival of arts and culture FENAC 2016 & 2018 ,NJANG festival ,festival for traditional music and dance,countless concerts and dance shows in and around Bda and won many awards as well.
BADAT has with aspiration to push this arts beyond the national triangle and get more youths to get to know cultural dances ,create a full dance academy, make dancing as a profession for those who wana take it to a higher height.
